Strangers to Winchmore Hill are in for a charming surprise! Not only will they encounter the most elegant little enclave, but will be stepping into a character village that is relatively unknown, and steeped in history.

The name, Winchmore Hill, is thought to be derived from the well that was situated in Vicars Moor Lane, it was once part of the Middlesex Forest and only made a suburb of London in the 1900's.

The Flavour of Village life is preserved around the beautiful green. With it's old trees and lawns, it is immaculately maintained and surrounded by all manner of interesting shops as well as tastefully restored old buildings . It is therefore, not surprising that parts of the area have been designated for conservation.

The highly respected Keble Kindergarten and Preparatory school for boys are not far away and the attractive St. Pauls Church just around the corner.

Residents of Winchmore Hill are spoilt for choice when it comes to parks and open space. Whether golf, tennis, bowling, fishing or cricket are your chosen pursuits, these and many other leisure facilities are catered for in the immediate vicinity.

Shopping facilities are excellent including the Sainsbury's superstore on Green lanes. Delightful pubs and restaurants are plentiful.

The railway station is in keeping with the area as it retains the original facade and travel time to Kings Cross from Winchmore Hill Station is just 20 minutes.
